Security experts are urging users to update their browser immediately to avoid being expose to these critical threats. These flaws are particularly dangerous because users don’t need to click anything, just visiting a harmful website is enough.

How Chrome Vulnerabilities Let Hackers Run Code

Two type confusion vulnerabilities were found in Chrome’s V8 JavaScript engine. These bugs were reported by researcher Shaheen Fazim on July 9, 2025. The flaws are tracked as CVE-2025-8010 and CVE-2025-8011.

One bug even earned an $8,000 reward, showing how serious it is. These vulnerabilities happen when Chrome misreads data types. This allows hackers to manipulate memory and run dangerous code on your device.

The V8 engine, used by Chrome, Edge, and Brave, is now a top target for hackers. If exploited, attackers could break Chrome’s sandbox and take control of your system.

This issue proves that Chrome vulnerabilities let hackers run code without warning. In many cases, all it takes is a booby-trapped website to trigger an attack.

Google credits its internal tools, like AddressSanitizer and fuzzing, for helping catch bugs early. But external researchers still play a key role in spotting high-risk issues.

To protect your system, go to Settings > About Chrome and allow updates to install automatically. Given the threat level, experts recommend applying the patch without delay.
