Fire Breaks Out at Sochi Oil Depot After Drone Attack
Russian officials say a Ukraine drone attack at Sochi oil depot caused a massive fire near the Black Sea resort.
Debris from the drone struck a fuel tank, igniting the blaze. The governor of the Krasnodar region confirmed 127 firefighters were sent to control the fire. As a result, nearby Sochi airport temporarily suspended all flights.
The drone strike was part of a broader weekend campaign by Ukraine.
Multiple regions in southern Russia, including Ryazan, Penza, and Voronezh, were also targeted.
Drone and Missile Strikes Escalate in Both Countries
In Ukraine’s city of Mykolaiv, a Russian missile attack destroyed homes and damaged civilian infrastructure. Seven civilians were injure, with three hospitalize.
Ukraine’s air force claimed Russia launched 83 drones and missiles overnight, hitting targets in eight areas. Of these, 61 were shot down. Russia, in contrast, said it intercepted 93 Ukrainian drones, mostly over the Black Sea.
The governor of Voronezh confirm four people hurt in a separate drone strike there.
These repeated attacks signal a sharp increase in cross-border drone warfare.
Global Reactions and Political Pressure Intensify

Ukrainian President Zelensky called for tougher sanctions on Moscow.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump also weighed in, warning of renewed tariffs on Russian oil.
