Violence Escalates Despite Humanitarian “Pauses”

Israeli strikes kill 63 in Gaza even after Israel announced daily pauses to allow humanitarian aid into the region.

The Israeli army said it would halt operations between 10am and 8pm in parts of central and northern Gaza. Aid corridors were also promised from 6am to 11pm.

However, within hours of the first pause, airstrikes resumed, even targeting areas marked as safe zones.

A bakery in Gaza City was among the sites hit, causing fear among residents and aid workers. The violence continues despite growing global calls for de-escalation and humanitarian support.

Starvation Crisis Deepens in Gaza

Gaza’s Ministry of Health confirmed six new hunger-related deaths, including two children, raising the total to 133 since October 2023.

A five-month-old baby, Zainab Abu Haleeb, died from malnutrition, despite being hospitalized for months.

The World Food Programme says one-third of Gaza’s population has gone days without eating. Nearly 500,000 people are experiencing famine-like conditions.

The WHO also warns that 20% of pregnant and breastfeeding women are severely malnourished.

Despite limited aid corridors and airdrops from the UAE and Jordan, supplies remain dangerously insufficient.

Airdrops have even injured civilians, as aid pallets fall on overcrowded camps.

Global Pressure Builds as Conditions Deteriorate

Aid workers report heartbreaking scenes of starving children and desperate mothers seeking food.

“All of Gaza is starving, no one is spared,” said Liz Allcock from Medical Aid for Palestinians.

The UN urges Israel to approve faster movement of aid trucks. Without it, famine and health crises will worsen.

French President Emmanuel Macron has called for a peace conference, reaffirming support for a two-state solution.

Meanwhile, U.S. officials say ceasefire negotiations may soon lead to the release of Israeli hostages.

In just 24 hours, Israeli attacks killed 88 and wounded 374 more. Since October, over 59,800 Palestinians have died.

The situation remains dire as Israeli strikes kill 63 in Gaza, and humanitarian efforts continue to fall short.
